Philadelphia, 4.10.19 —
That queasy feeling in your gut may just be indigestion, the headache may be from stress, and the sense of unease may just be lack of sleep or maybe it could be an aftershock from the debut album by Philadelphia based industrial rapper Wormtooth.
Wormtooth’s debut album “BREACH” is out now on most music platforms. The masked figure that performs as Wormtooth can best be described as where Nine Inch Nails’ “Downward Spiral” meets Kanye West’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.” Often described as cinematic, the concept album features Philadelphia artists Harrowgrove and Mike Voss as well as production from Cypress Hill affiliate thekeenone among other collaborations on the project.
Recently off an East Coast tour with sludge metal band Yuckmouf, Wormtooth has been performing in Philadelphia for about two years, with fans eagerly awaiting a debut album. Driven as a child to make music following after great rock frontmen like Marilyn Manson and Patti Smith,
Wormtooth’s stage energy has been a thing of legend spoken about only in hushed whispers by all who have seen them live.
Capturing that live energy in a recording was an arduous process, but through witchcraft, alchemy and the dark sciences Wormtooth does seem to have pulled it off.
Listen to the album now On Wormtooth’s website (https://www.wormtooth.net/breachmusic) or on most music platforms below or purchase it on cassette or CD in the Wormtooth shop.
